The
Complete Guide to Middle-Earth by Robert Foster An A-Z compendium of every person, place and thing in the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings (and a bit more). This is a terrific book, especially for "trivia" minded people. Of course, you want to read The Lord of the Rings first (and its appendices), but this is great fun and well done. |

The
Journeys of Frodo by Barbara Strachey First published over 20 years ago, Strachey made these maps for her own pleasure. They detail all of Frodo's journey and those of his companions. She also provides necessary explanatory text. This is quite different from Fonstad's book, but of great value to Tolkien fans. |
